Spotify Wear OS app will soon support offline listening

It was not just a big day for Samsung when she announced her new foldable phones. It was also a great day for operating system wear fans, now they have a better option on the SmartWatch market. The Galaxy Watch 4 marks a new chapter of the OS wear history, one that could reinvigorate Google’s portable platform. It seems that other application developers are also aboard this Renaissance, with Spotify taking the head with a very awaited download feature.

Some could find the idea of ​​playing music from their intelligent sources to be a little odd. This is certainly not the norm, but the functionality is useful when you do activities that need to leave the phone at home or distance. Running and doing easy exercise in mind, but there may be other scenarios where you want your favorite music or podcasts to be available on your SmartWatch.

This may not be a problem if the SmartWatch has its own Internet connection or if the music was stored locally on the lean storage of the laptop. It might not be applied to streaming services, but Spotify is happily ready with a hotfix.

An upcoming update will finally allow users to download Spotify Content on their wear smartwatches for offline playback. You do not even need to do it from your smartphone and you can start downloading from your SmartWatch. And it’s not just music, no longer that the offline listening feature also covers Spotify podcasts.

The usual account restrictions apply, however, and only Premium Spotify subscribers can take full advantage of offline listening. Free users are always limited to streaming in shuffle mode with an internet connection, but they can also download podcasts. The update will be available in the coming weeks and will arrive on all Wear Wear SmartWatches smartwatches, but, of course, Spotify also benefits from the new Galaxy Watch 4 series.
