OnePlus 6 and 6T Android 11 upgrade arrives after a very short beta

The deployment of Oxygenos 11 OnePlus with Android 11 has not been really inactive. OnePlus 7 and 7T proprietors have had the hardest harm with many bugs and a promised feature that has been inexplicably eliminated at the last minute. The company also launched the beta version of the OnePlus 6 and 6T series last month, suggesting that it would be months before a stable release is available. Beat these expectations, OnePlus has just announced oxygen for both phones, hopefully in a very polite state and bug.

The truth is said, Android 11 is actually an unexpected gift from OnePlus. Both launched in 2018, the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T had already reached their end of life last year, at least with regard to the major android improvements. OnePlus started the beta test period last month, earlier than what it had originally planned and pushes the stable release earlier than anyone could have been expected.

Oxygenos 11 brings big changes to the user experience above the already important changes that Android 11 does under the hood. The style and user interfaces have been significantly modified to the point that some have compared compared to the Samsung user interface. There are also improvements to all OnePlus custom applications, of course, as a new camera user interface and a toolbox for the game space.

Nice missing is the same display characteristic always using the liberation oxygenos 7 oneplus 7. This should not be a huge surprise because the oneplus 6 came with its own implementation of the AOD during its Launch and that has also been removed due to battery concerns. Oxygen have an almost equivalent ambient display mode that composes its absence.

Oxygen 11 with the Android 11 update should start rolling on OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T Waves phones. This will be a large update, of course, so the usual precautions apply when upgrading. The considerably short beta test period is a little concerned, but I hope that OnePlus has already ironed the kinks.
