We learned all the way in December that the great SPELUNKY and SPELUNKY 2 came to Nintendo Switch this summer, and the wait is almost over – at least in some areas. Both games will hit the eShop in North America, Europe and Australia on August 26, adding another pair of independent gems to the switching library.
Spelunky supports local multiplayer and Speelunky 2 adds an online part to the mix. Although there are distinct areas in both platforms – each with their own enemies, pitfalls and deadly rules – levels are generated in the procedure. Things will be a little different from each race.
Barely the first time SPELUNKY, a cold stone classic, landed on a pocket console. It has been published on PS Vita (and PlayStation 3) all the way back in 2013, one year after the Remake of the original 2008 on PC and Xbox 360. However, the suite has been available only on PC, PLAYSTATION 4 and PS5. until now.
