With the launch of Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 4 series and the new version of Google’s Wear OS, Spotify introduced an important update of its wear exploitation application, the company announced. A bit like a feature that has been added to its Apple Watch application last May, the Spotify Update search application will allow you to broadcast music directly on your watch, so that you can LISTEN WITHOUT NEED A SMARTPHONE OR CONNECTION.

“In the coming weeks, Spotify users will be able to play their playlists, their albums and their favorite podcasts with their smartwatches that manage Wear OS”, wrote society on his blog. “By having Spotify on your wrist, you are more free from running, dancing, shopping, cooking and controlling your music and podcasts at the same time. In addition, we are delighted to unveil one of the most characteristics. Requested by our users: the possibility to download all your favorite music and podcasts on your SmartWatch. “

Spotify noted that the update will arrive on SmartWatches of Fossil, Mobvoi and Suunto, as well as the latest Samsung devices. This should also work on older watches too, as Spotify notes that it “requires your smartwatch to work at least 2.0 or more wear.”

Once you have the latest application on your Wear OS Watch, you will need a paired headset directly to your watch. From there, you can broadcast music, playlists and podcasts directly without needing a phone. You can also choose a content to download directly on your watch and once this is done, you will see a green arrow next to the items. Spotify said the new version moved “in the coming weeks”.
